In today’s fast paced society, it’s hard to find time to get through our extensive to-do list for the day let alone think about how we’re going to improve our fruit and veggie intake for better health. But eating 5 serves of veggies a day isn’t impossible! Here’s 3 serves (pictured). Vegetables, fresh or frozen, are super heart healthy. Different coloured ones have different nutrients so aim to include a colourful variety! 1 serve of vegetables = 1 medium-sized potato, 1/2 a cup of cooked vegetables, or 1 cup of salad vegetables. Vegetables aren’t supposed to be just a side to go with your big cut of meat for dinner. They are absolutely beneficial for good health. Change your perspective and make friends with veggies! Add some to your sandwich at lunch, unleash your creativity and match different veggies together to form a delicious salad, try some raw veggie sticks with dips. Vegetables are so versatile, the recipes are endless. Easy!
